| Announcement summary: | Stewart, BC – Decade Resources Ltd (“Decade” or the Company announces that it has started a drill program on the Red Cliff property. The property is located 20 km north of Stewart BC in the “Golden Triangle” region of the Skeena Mining Division. The property was a copper producer in the early 1900’s and had a railway that transported ore to tidewater and then a copper smelter in Prince Rupert. It has a greater than 1.2 km zone of alteration and mineralization that is in excess of 40m wide. The Red Cliff Zone at the south end of the mineralization zone on the property was historically developed with 2,385 meters of underground workings on five levels from four portals over a vertical distance of several hundred meters along 50m of strike. Limited copper-gold production was reported in 1910-1912 and 1973. From 1910 –1912, production from the Red Cliff Zone amounted to approximately 1,136 tonnes at a grade estimated to average 5 percent copper (BC Minfile). |
