| Announcement summary: | West Cobar Metals Limited (ASX:WC1) (“West Cobar”) is pleased to report initial assay results from its recent drill program at the Salazar Clay Rare Earth Element (REE) Project, 150km NE of the town of Esperance in Western Australia (Figure 4). The phase 1 air core program of 283 holes for a total of 9342m was designed to expand the existing Inferred Resource of 43.5Mt at 1192ppm total rare earths oxide (TREO) at Newmont1 , explore E63/1496 to the south of the Newmont deposit, and to explore part of the O’Connor licence area (E63/1469). High grade REE results received from the first 13 holes of a 283-hole aircore drill program at the Newmont and O’Connor REE are encouraging and represents less than 5% of holes drilled. |
