Announcement summary: | 22 August 2022 Santana Minerals Limited (ASX: SMI) (“Santana” or “the Company”) is pleased to announce further significant results from the 100% owned Bendigo-Ophir Project (“the Project”). Resource extension drilling since September 2021 has resulted in a large increase in the overall global RSSZ MRE to 1.9Moz @ 1.8g/t Au (top-cut, 0.5g/t lower cut-off), (ASX announcement on 11 July 2022). Drilling is continuing to expand the resource potential beyond this new 1.9Moz MRE platform and results such as those from MDD051 and MDD054 at RAS add considerable momentum to potential RAS resource growth. All deposits remain open at depth and presently three DD rigs are testing extensions with a total of 14,437 metres completed since January 2022 (Appendix 1). Assays have been received for 3 drillholes, MDD051, MDD054 and MDD060 (Table 1, Appendix 1, Appendix 2). MDD054 previously delivered two exceptional results of >100g/t Au with assays beyond the reporting limit of the standard (FAA505) fire assay method (ASX announcement on 25th July 2022). A high-grade result was earlier flagged (ASX announcement |
