Announcement summary: | Lunnon Metals Limited (ASX: LM8) (the Company or Lunnon Metals) is pleased to provide an update on the progress of its drilling programme at the Baker Shoot, part of the Kambalda Nickel Project (KNP). Baker was progressed to a JORC 2012 compliant Mineral Resource totalling 15,800t1 nickel metal @ 2.8% Ni within nine months of discovery and inside 12 months of Lunnon Metals’ listing on the ASX. The current drilling programme is infilling and extending the recent June 2022 Mineral Resource Estimation (MRE). RC drill hole ECO22RC_067 is on the first infill line of drilling (section 6,531,180mN) where previous results reported to date have also been located (see ASX announcements dated 11 and 18 July 2022). The width of this intercept in ECO22RC_067 is significant. The intersection may represent the effect of the interpreted eastern shear on the base of flow (BOF) nickel surface, with this feature potentially causing a thickening of nickel mineralisation, as has been reported previously at the intersection of the mineralised western shear with the BOF. Both shears are interpreted to relate to the pinching and swelling that has been previously observed and reported on for the BOF surfaces. The location of the intersection in ECO22RC_067 is predicted by the recent June 2022 Baker MRE. The net impact of the impressive widths |
