| Announcement summary: | Red Dirt Metals Limited (ASX: RDT) (“Red Dirt” or the “Company”) is pleased to provide an update on recent diamond core assays received from its Mt Ida Lithium Gold Project. These results include the first diamond hole drilled to test the Baldock gold zone and the downdip extensions of the Meteor and Baldock mineralisation. Additional excellent lithium intervals are also reported together with the thickest visual pegmatite interval to date drilled at the Timoni and Sister Sam Pegmatites. Drilling at the Baldock gold-copper lode has reported exceptional grades of Au and Cu over significant thicknesses. The maiden Baldock interval from IDRD035 intersected 5.61m @ 52.69g/t Au & 1.07% Cu from 303.46m downhole, with the hole ending in mineralisation due to technical issues with the drill rig. Hole IDRD035 has helped confirm historical drilling results and will aid in the preparation of a maiden JORC2012 Mineral Resource Estimate scheduled for early Q3 2022. Drill holes IDRD002 and IDRCD106 which both returned results in excess of 20g/m highlight the potential for two new high-grade shoots to be present within the Baldock lode at depth and along strike to the south. |
