Announcement summary: | East Star Resources Plc (LSE:EST), the Kazakhstan‐focused gold and copper explorer, announces that the remaining assays have been received from reconnaissance Reverse Circulation (RC) drilling undertaken in September 2021 on the Apmintas Licence on the Chu‐Ili Gold Belt in central Kazakhstan. The Eshkilitau group of occurrences was discovered in 1978 and it is located within northeast edge of the Molain basin and has relation to the Altynsay Ring structure. The geology of the district of the occurrence is represented by Upper Ordovician conglomerates, sandstones and interbedded siltstones and schists. Occurrences are represented by series of quartz veins and the gold grades in rock chip samples received up to 65 g/t. The Eshkilitau II occurrence was previously represented by a series of subvertical quartz veins of northwest and east‐west orientation but is now in addition showing disseminated gold in the host rock. The length of the individual veins vary between 100 to 300m with a thickness of 0.3 to 2m. The east‐west oriented vein bifurcates into a horsetail vein system. |
