| Announcement summary: | Meeka Gold Limited (ASX:MEK) (“Meeka” or “the Company”) is pleased to provide an update on exploration activities currently underway at Circle Valley in the Albany-Fraser Mobile Belt. The Company has received assay results from two RC drill holes that were completed to test below a 1.2km by 400m gold in soil anomaly at a prospect named Anomaly A. Both holes intersected foliated felsic gneissic rocks of quartz muscovite to quartz biotite composition and some quartz carbonate veining. Mineralisation does not appear to be associated with veining, it is instead hosted by muscovite altered gneissic rock and is interpreted to be associated with shearing. The assay results from this drilling are as follows The Company is currently drilling additional lines of aircore holes to the east and west of the two RC drill holes to confirm the strike of the mineralisation, as well as the position of the mineralisation on the southern side of the fault. Further drilling is also required to confirm the orientation of the mineralisation. |
